1-301 Wing Clipper I, Pickets, and Quickets

Learn the simple secrets to creating crisp clean flying geese effectively and quickly. This method can be applied to any pattern that requires flying geese units. Since you usually must make hundreds of these units at a time, why not make them perfect every time?

Expand the use of your Wing Clipper I by learning how to make Pickets and Quickets. Once you begin to recognize these units, you will be surprised how often they appear in patterns from your favorite magazines and designers. You will want to add Pickets and Quickets to your border options.

Required Tools: Wing Clipper I, and Quilter's Magic Wand
Required Technique Sheet: Pickets and Quickets

Basic Sewing Supplies:
Sewing Machine with power cords and manual (just in case)
Thread
Machine Needles
Snips or trimming scissors
Seam Ripper

Basic Quilting Supplies:
Rotary Cutter with a sharp blade
Marking Pencil (Mechanical will do)
Small Cutting Mat
Straight Edge Ruler approx. 6”x12” or so
Invisgrip (optional)
Best Press or light starch (optional)

Fabric Requirements:
Fabrics will be cut during class. Therefore, the fabric requirements are healthy amounts so that you can make your own design choices during class. You may even want to use some of your scraps from your last class here.

For Course 1-301, we recommend the following yardage:
1/4 yard Focal Fabric
1/3 yard Background
1/4 yard of a coordinating fabric with the focal fabric

Class Cancellation Policy:
Thank you for signing up for a class at Ready Set Sew in East Ridge/Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Due to the high number of late-notice cancellations, our cancellation policy has been updated:
In the case that you are unable to attend the class, you must cancel at least 5 days prior to class date for a FULL refund. If you cancel 3-5 days prior to class, there is a 50% forfeiture fee deducted from your class fee. You may choose to transfer to another class if available, with a $20 transfer fee plus additional registration fee if applicable. If you cancel less than 3 days prior to class, your class fee is 100% forfeited. Transfer to another class is not available with less than a 3-day cancellation.
If the class is cancelled by Ready Set Sew, you will have the option of getting your full money back OR transfer the full amount you paid to another class.
