Do you have a collection of T Shirts that would make a quilt full of memories?
If so, join us to create your very own work of art. We will spend a day learning the process of stabilizing and sizing the t-shirt blocks, and then learn how to assemble a gorgeous quilt top with sashing, cornerstones, and borders.
Supplies:
Bring 15 or more t-shirts to make a throw that is approximately 60” x 73”.
You will need to bring a sewing machine in good working order, basic sewing supplies such as thread, scissors, pins, a cutting board, rotary cutter, and ruler. We will have irons, but bring your own if desired.
You will also need T Shirt Stabilizer (available in Ready Set Sew)
In complimentary fabrics, choose 1 1/4 yard for the sashing and 2 1/3 yards for the outer border and binding. Select 1/2 yard of a contrasting, eye-popping fabric for the cornerstones. Choose 1/2 yard of a bold fabric to form the inner border.
Note: You can wait to purchase the fabric until the day of the class.
